• The Wool Essentials Active Wear Jacket is an excellent transitional jacket, as it provides very good thermal performance, while perfect moisture transport ensures you stay warm during your outdoor activities without breaking a sweat.
• The jacket is made from a combination of fulled wool and loden. Both are natural materials, produced using traditional craftsmanship by one of the last German knitting mills. The material quality is very high-end and comparatively heavier, not comparable to their inexpensive counterparts from Asia. It is handmade in Germany through many individual steps, making each piece unique.
• The exterior of the jacket is made of high-quality fulled wool. This is not only warming but also water-repellent. Even when completely soaked, 80% of the thermal performance is retained: you always stay comfortably warm. The natural wool fat, lanolin, simply repels water.
• On the inside, grey loden trims the seams, providing additional wind resistance, while also creating fashionable contrasts on the collar and hood.
• The straight cut of the Wool Essentials Active Wear Jacket is loose and provides a comfortable fit for any adventure. The high-quality fulled wool is more elastic than loden, making it ideal for activities with a lot of movement.

Why a functional jacket made of virgin wool?

• High Quality: Virgin wool comes from the sheep's first shearing, making it exceptionally pure, fresh, and natural – not recycled or chemically treated. The long-staple fibers are particularly durable, elastic, and soft.
• Excellent Temperature Regulation: Virgin wool naturally regulates body temperature – it warms in winter and cools in summer, as it can absorb moisture without feeling damp.
• Self-cleaning & Odor-repellent: The natural keratin structure of wool breaks down odor molecules and naturally inhibits bacterial growth. The lanolin fat on the fiber surface makes the wool dirt-repellent. The clothing needs to be washed or cleaned much less frequently than conventional functional clothing.

Care Instructions

• The Wool Essentials Active Wear Jacket is very easy to clean. Usually, airing it out overnight is sufficient.
• Dirt can be gently brushed off with a clothes brush.
• Dab stains with a damp cloth, do not rub into the material.
• For larger, more stubborn stains (and only then), the jacket can be cleaned with a light hand wash in lukewarm water. If necessary, add a little wool detergent (preferably a biological one without additives), rinse well (do not wring or rub), gently squeeze out, and lay flat on a terry towel, shaped with zippers closed, to dry. Otherwise, the elastic material may stretch and lengthen.
• If necessary, the jacket can be steamed flat with a steam iron or steamer. Steaming neutralizes odors, refreshes the shape, removes wrinkles, and makes the fabric look smooth and neat again. Often, steaming is enough instead of washing – this extends the life of the jacket and protects the environment. Caution: Always steam from a distance or through a cloth, avoid direct contact with the hot soleplate!
• To protect your jacket from moths, always store it clean in airtight cotton or linen garment bags, preferably with natural fragrances like cedarwood or lavender.
• Please never machine wash on a regular cycle and never tumble dry!
