Bushbox: The Original for True Outdoor Adventurers

It's the stove that started a success story in 2012: Our original Bushbox, now in its fourth generation, stands for uncompromising reliability in the field. Developed from a passion for the outdoors and optimized through years of customer feedback, this stove offers exactly what you need on the go: independence. With just a few simple steps, the packable stove is ready for use, and thanks to a special locking mechanism, it forms a highly stable unit that will never let you down.

Whether on a solitary day trip or as an essential part of your emergency equipment – the Bushbox is so compactly designed that it easily fits into your pocket. Despite its small size, it generates enormous heat output through the chimney principle and the Coanda effect. It directs energy exactly where it's needed: to your cookware. This allows you to boil water for your coffee or a fortifying meal with a minimum of fuel, while heat radiation to the sides is reduced.

This stove is designed with the 'Leave No Trace' principle in mind; controlled combustion inside the stove ensures no residue is left behind in nature. Further, you are not dependent on gas cartridges, but rather use what the environment offers you – from twigs to pine cones. The Bushbox is a tool for purists who value "Made in Germany" quality and maximum flexibility with the smallest pack size.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Who is the original Bushbox best suited for?

The Bushbox is primarily designed for solo outdoor enthusiasts, bushcrafters, and hikers who are on day trips or minimalist overnighters. Due to its low weight and flat design, it is also a perfect emergency stove for a bug-out bag or glove compartment. It offers a self-sufficient cooking option that works independently of fossil fuel cartridges.

2. What fuels can be used and how is it operated?

The Bushbox is a true multi-talent: it can be traditionally operated with wood (twigs, bark, cones). Thanks to its design, it also serves as an excellent windshield for alcohol burners (e.g., Trangia) or as a holder for Esbit tablets and fuel paste. For maximum efficiency, you should place the stove on a flat, fireproof surface. When disassembling, note the locking mechanism: gently pull the short side panels outwards at the top to release the lock.

3. Does the material warp with high heat development?

We only use high-quality, 0.8 mm thick stainless steel (1.4301). With extreme heat, slight thermal expansion is a physically normal process. However, due to the special design with interlocking parts and the material choice, the Bushbox is designed so that after cooling it can be easily disassembled and reassembled at any time. The material thickness offers the optimal balance between weight savings and thermal stability.
